The class is on the international show and tell game show, one person shows and the other tells. Arnold will bring his rock collection and Dorothy Ann will be doing the "tell" part. However, Arnold arrives without his rock collection. He had found a strange object, which he thinks would work much better, but nobody even knows what it is. Ms. Frizzle then takes the class on field trip to find out. She turns the bus into Suppose-O-Tron, that can test their hypothesis.
Whoever wins the Show and Tell competition will win this cup! The "I showed it to you and told you all about it" cup!
If you look at this competition, 2 contestants brought an armadillo, and 2 others brought a giant pencil.
Arnold didn't! He'd left his rocks behind! I don't know why he didn't bring them.
I guess it's because he brought this strange round artifact.
Isn't that cute. A flashback to when Arnold was a baby, listening to his Great Aunt Arizona Joan.
Well, Joan found this artifact. But she didn't write it completely.
Now this is something useful. Ms. Frizzle gave Arnold a Show and Tell-evision.
Strange. The Magic School Bus went through a shapeshifting phrase, but it didn't change from the outside.
It changed from the inside, getting a Suppose-O-Tron, magically doing something real archaeologists do when studying artifacts. And even getting this machine that clones various things.
I wish I had that kind of machine to clone things to make more than 1 of that particular thing.
Funny that the mouse of the Suppose-O-Tron looks like a real mouse as in a rodent.
Ralphie's hypothesis is that the artifact is a shield, but whatever it's supposed to protect you from will just go through and hit you. He's wrong.
Tim's hypothesis is that the artifact is a fishing net or a paddle, but the holes are too wide for fish, and it would be useless as a net.
Quite a theme we've got going on. Pumpkins galore!
Oh, oh, Liz. You shouldn't be playing with that artifact. Yeah, she's throwing Cheezy Wheezies through the artifact.
Keesha's hypothesis is that the artifact is a hat, but it'll just fall off your head, so her hypothesis is wrong.
Hold it! Hold it! Arnold found some arrows that are the same colour as the artifact.
Something Liz did to help Arnold. She threw that arrow through the artifact, giving Arnold an idea what it is. It's a dartboard.
The rest of the class had gotten it too! Dorothy Ann figured out what it is.
That cup doesn't belong to Arnold alone, but the entire class too. Now that's a victory.
Don't you wish you had one of these? A remote controlled Magic School Bus. I wish they'd existed back during the 90s.
What's interesting about the host of this competition is that he's voiced by Alex Trebek, who many of you know for being the host of Jeopardy!.
This episode had some funny hypotheses, like Ralphie thinking the artifact was a shield, Tim thinking it's a fishing net or a paddle, and Keesha thinking it's a hat. Keesha's hypothesis is funny.
Liz is the one who helped with the artifact, by throwing Cheezy Wheezies through the artifact, only for Arnold and Dorothy Ann to realise it's a game, like a dartboard.

Then again, they probably didn't make any of those during the 1990s because the aim of the series is to teach school kids about science, even though they'd invented other kinds of merchandise back in those days.
Well, this was an interesting way overall to teach kids about archaeology and how it works, just by finding clues about what existed and how it worked. And man I wish that duplicating machine actually existed, the very machine that cloned the artifact. And Dorothy Ann's reaction to seeing Arnold on stage was funny. And we got a cute flashback to Arnold as a baby. And it was amazing that Arnold won without the help of Dorothy Ann.
"According to my research, it's um, oh how am I supposed to know?!"
Funny that Dorothy Ann used her catchphrase before saying she doesn't know.
"Maybe my rocks shouldn't have stayed home today."
Unless the class do their best to figure out what that artifact is, then maybe you're right, Arnold.
"That's it, Liz! If I catch you playing with this priceless artifact one more time, there's no chocolate covered ants FOR A WEEK!"
Those are some stern words for Liz.
"Thanks, Arnold!"
This was funny. Dorothy Ann swiped an arrow and took it back to the bus.
"Oh no! Oh yes!"
Funny Dorothy Ann thought the class lost all because Arnold was already on stage, doing the Show and Tell routine, but upon seeing the host give him the cup, she realised they'd won!
