HHPAY S2E09: Domo, Yumi Goes Solo & Cat Feud.

Finally, time to get back to reviewing Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi! This time, episode 9 of Season 2.

64. Domo.

When Kaz goes out and buys and a dog that looks just like him things start going crazy. When big time company owners come Kaz isn't there but Domo is. The girls then plot to keep the owners from leaving.

Here we are, the first episode to debut Domo. No, not that cute brown monster, I'm referring to Kaz's dog. They do look alike.

Such a grand episode! The debut appearance of Domo, a dog who strangely loves cat food as opposed to dog food. Kaz was right to say that Domo's a smart dog. Good Kaz! No wonder everyone thought Kaz was Domo!

My rating: 10/10.

65. Yumi Goes Solo.

Aired: 16 September 2005.

Yumi gets fed up with Ami and Kaz giving her all the hard work, so she wishes that there was no such thing as Puffy AmiYumi. Her wish comes true, but Ami and Kaz are now having a hard life, and Yumi realizes how miserable she is without them.

This episode is another of those that contradict the "Girls don't wear socks" conspiracy. If you have smooth enough vision or if you play this part in slow motion, you can see Yumi wearing a sock here.

Well, this most certainly is an episode where you can't help but feel sorry for Yumi. She has a bad day and wishes there was no such thing as PUFFY, only to see what her life would have been like. It's nice of Ami and Kaz to cheer her up the following morning.

My rating: 10/10.

66. Cat Feud.

Aired: 16 September 2005.

Kaz is once again fed up with Jang Keng and Tekirai and tries to frame them for various crimes.

The girls really love their cats.

Either these cats hate this kind of cat food, the cat food has gone off or they don't like Kaz feeding them.

Kaz had forgotten that these felines hate claw trims.

Ami and Yumi sure don't want their cats being harmed, do they?

Kaz will do anything to get the cats in trouble!

Ha! These cats are in trouble! Only confusing thing. Ami scolded Yumi's cat and vice versa.

Kaz, you were so close!

These girls already figured that Kaz put the cat nip on the curtains?!

 Looks like the cats got Kaz again!

I know I'm going to give out a very unpopular opinion, but I find this such a hilarious episode! Kaz trying to frame the cats for various crimes, only for the girls to find out once he bursts out laughing! Very clever, girls! Finding out that Kaz did all this!

My rating: 10/10.

Final thoughts:

Before I give away my final opinion, let me point out that the intro to this full episode is sung in Spanish. I remember when I first watched this episode on TV, I feared the episode wouldn't be in English.

But disregarding that, this is definitely one of the best of the show! Kaz buys a new dog who looks like him and sounds like Numbuh 3's dad, Yumi feeling very sad in a dream, and Kaz framing the cats for a crime! Grand episode as usual!
