HHPAY S2E04: Helping Hand, Neat Freak & Hypno Kaz

Alright, does anyone need a helping hand with reviewing Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi? Well, I'll give you one.

49. Helping Hand.
Written by: Adam Beechen.
Aired: 10 June 2005.

Yumi cramps her hands badly while signing autographs and can't use them, so Ami decides to help Yumi out. Yumi then takes advantage of Ami.

Yumi's hands look sore!

Yumi really doesn't want help here.

Yumi looks awful here! Guess she does need help after all.

Yumi sure loves to take advantage of Ami with this bell. Look how sad she is here.

Ami looks angry.

Ami sure enjoys a nice relaxing bath.

Oh, did Yumi's hands get better?

Uh-oh! Ami sure is angry! Best part: "YUMIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!"

Well, this sure was some episode! Yumi sure knows how to take advantage of other people. Even her closest friend. Best part: Ami discovers Yumi's hands had healed and she can use them properly, Ami yells "YUMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!" at her loudest. She sure sounds like Gi here.

My rating: 10/10.

50. Neat Freak.

Aired: 10 June 2005.

Ami is tired about not having the group being very clean. She forces Kaz and Yumi to clean the bus completely, but soon Ami can't find her drumsticks on the night of a concert.

Kaz got a hole-in-one! Pure luck, I guess.

Kaz sure has some of the world's fastest growing toenails.

Slob City!

How did Ami see Yumi getting up to mess the kitchen?

Ha! Yumi in a chip packet. I wonder if it references the time Homer Simpson wore a grocery bag?

Ami sure can scream loud enough for the entire Milky Way to hear!

Yeah, Ami did take it too far.

Running Gag: Everyone being like Taz from Looney Tunes messing up the bus.

Strange part: Ami, after finding her drumsticks, kisses them.

This sure is one fine, yet bizarre episode. Ami definitely taking it too far with being tidy, and even going as far as being a soldier herself. She sure does want everything nice and tidy, doesn't she? I bet this references her voice actress' time voicing Gi on Capt'n Planet.

My rating: 9.5/10.

51. Hypno Kaz.
Written by: David Shayne.
Aired: 10 June 2005.

A magician named Dr. Mysto tries to hypnotize Yumi and cure her of nail biting, but he hypnotizes Kaz by mistake.

Yumi's nail biting sure is irritating.

Here we go, the hypnotist, Doctor Mysto.

The doctor sure knows how to hypnotise.

Kaz sure has gone crazy under Mysto's spell.

These girls sure love bananas just as much as I do.

This episode sure is insane! The hypnotist sure did a mistaken hypnotism on Kaz. Yumi sure does bite her nails whenever nervous, doesn't she! Kaz sure did go crazy! After dressing up as Ami in a fantasy and in a reality without realising it, he even went as far as dressing as Yumi. Hmm...Kooky. I wonder if it references the fact his voice actor voiced Numbuh 3's dad on Codename Kids Next Door? And Kaz as a dog? More foreshadowing?

My rating: 10/10.

Final thoughts:

What crazy escapades this episode had! Ami being Yumi's hands, Ami being obsessed with being clean, and even Kaz being hypnotised by accident! Clever episode this!

Episode rating: 10/10.
