The kids go looking for rain to test out Jyoti's latest invention, the autobrella, only to wind up with their heads stuck in the clouds.
We start off with Wanda laying on the grass, looking at the clouds floating above her.
Here is Jyoti demonstrating her latest invention. She's invented an Autobrella. An umbrella that automatically detects rain.
And she's going to be demonstrating to umbrella people how it works.
So now, the clouds will be vacuumed up by The Magic School Bus.
But Ralphie's here to stall the people with umbrellas. Hmm.... sounds quite familiar.
And Ralphie's trying to entertain them with an octobunny.
Solid, Liquid, Gas. Some continuity from 3-in-1.
This is what Ralphie likes to call a Squoodle. A poodle with squid tentacles.
The teardrop mode works for Jyoti's invention. It opens to reveal an umbrella.
And we hear Dorothy Ann's Uncle D.D. on the radio.
And now, the bus is going to suck up some clouds to bring to the presentation.
According to Dorothy Ann's reesearch, Cirrus means hair. Cirrus clouds.
And cirrus clouds are not full of water, but frozen water.
Fiona thinks the class had an ice time. Literally.
This is something Wanda's doing that she shouldn't sucking up all different clouds.
Tim got a badge! For saying high altitude clouds don't rain!
There's a stormy UFO cloud up ahead!
This is Nimbostratus. It is a rain cloud.
This is why Wanda shouldn't have sucked up all those clouds. Stormcloud!
Whoa! This takes me back!
Time for the class to join together to rain!
Luckily, they rained to the ground and it's time to go to the meeting.
Look at the clouds! They're disappearing!
Jyoti's made a different invention. Umbrellook. It detects different clouds.
You gotta love Valerie's evil sounding voice when talking about dark storm clouds.
What's next on the show? Well, Goldie and Valerie foreshadowed it.
This episode does take me back to Kicks up a Storm and Getting Energised. It's similar to the former because a storm is invented, and the latter because of a kid stalling the umbrella people.
Who would've thought Wanda would unintentionally play god here? She's so passionate about the clouds. Leaving me wonder. Where's her pushy side? You know, where she calls everyone "Weasley Wimps".
The way Ralphie stalled the umbrella people was similar to Getting Energised because in that episode, Carlos was entertaining the fair goers with jokes until the Ferris Wheel was ready, while in this one, Ralphie entertained the umbrella goers with balloon tricks.
Though I do have to say that this episode is kind of a cross between Kicks Up a Storm and Wet All Over, field trip-wise.
Well, Jyoti losing her umbrella was a bit of a letdown, and Wanda unintentionally making a storm cloud by sucking up all the clouds was pretty.... how should I say it? Puzzling. Cirrusly. However, this episode was still a good way to teach kids about all kinds of clouds and what kinds hold rain. But still, Jyoti not demonstrating the autobrella was kind of a letdown. Cirrusly.
"According to my reesearch, clouds are made of tiny water droplets."
