Arnold really wants to break a school record, and to his surprise, finally gets his wish by staying at school with Liz while Ms. Frizzle takes the class on another weird field trip...without realizing he is the field trip.
This is one thing that's interesting about this Producer Segment. The first of a few to feature the female producer. While the male producer resembles Tim, this producer resembles Wanda. Funny that Liz was using gum to go bungee jumping like Wanda did in this episode.
This has got to be the most used episode of the series, especially for YouTube entertainment, and I can see why.
* Phoebe: "At my old school, we were never allowed to be digested." "At my old school, we were never allowed to end up in the toilet." You know, for kids!
* As they came up to the valve in Arnold's stomach, Wanda and Keesha questioned it as a hole.
* When they got to the large intestine, Tim completed the drawing of the large intestine, and Dorothy Ann was all "According to my research," about where they have to go out. Again, you know, for kids!
* Wanda called Action Mountain, and then Arnold's digestive system, "The ride of my dreams." Sorry to repeat myself, but, you know, for kids!
There's another animation error. As the class were going back into Arnold's stomach, they were all wearing their scuba outfits, but in a closeup of Dorothy Ann and Keesha, they were wearing their normal outfits. Again, I'll let the goof slide since the show was in its early stages.
As for the Producer's Segment, the female producer, who vaguely resembles Wanda, like how the male producer resembles Tim, answered the question as to how there was light in Arnold's digestive system. I could've filled that in with "The Magic School Bus may have had its eyes lit up." especially since it's a bus, and buses have headlights to see in dark places or at night. Also, she mentioned what happens to the waste we don't absorb they don't show on children's television. Makes sense.
I can see why this episode is praised a lot. It's to an extent edgy for a show intended to teach kids about science. Shows even kids shows of the 20th century had "innuendo" on rare occasions, especially an educational show.
Also, the funny moments of this episode included Carlos mishearing "oesophagus" as "Asparagus" when they went through Arnold's asparagus, oh I mean oesophagus, and Dorothy Ann correcting him by saying "No, Carlos! The oesophagus!" and later, Carlos making a belly flop pun when they landed in Arnold's stomach.
Also, Ralphie was funny too, especially mentioning he could barely "stomach" more of the field trip, which Ms. Frizzle comically missed the point, and also, Ralphie mentioning that the large intestine is "smell world", of course the large intestine is the last part of the digestive system before the you-know-what, you would expect it to be odorous. Plus, his imagination of Wanda drying to a raisin before Dorothy Ann, Phoebe and Keesha called him out on it.
And the number of times Dorothy Ann says "According to my research,", Keesha's first moment of saying "Let's get the facts,", Phoebe consistently saying "At my old school," and Ralphie wondering "Is it just me?" And the ending where Ms. Frizzle wore a dinosaur dress after Arnold promised himself not to miss another field trip after this one.
Also, Ms. Frizzle telling Phoebe "Never say never, Phoebe." and it was the other way round later. "Never say never, Ms. Frizzle."
A funny moment that topped it all was Wanda pretending to be "Arnold's conscience" when she spookily told him to drink her soda.
So another strange, yet edutaining episode.

Err....what's Arnold doing inside himself? Isn't he the one who swallowed the entire class? Oh well, considering the show was in its early stages, I can let this error slide. Also, it was the mid 1990s.
Get used to it. Here is the first hint of possible love in the series. Arnold fantasising about breaking a record to impress Wanda is possible proof he has a crush on her, and because he became the best field trip ever to her, vice versa. I take it this is one of the reasons most people who grew up with this series ship these 2.

What makes this funny is that Ralphie thought it'd be cool if Wanda was dried to a raisin, and this'd be the result.
Er, dinosaur field trip is next? Further possibility that the episodes of this educational series may not be in chronological order.

I'm not going to question the bus starting to corrode due to Arnold's stomach acid, and later going back to normal. Why? Well, it's not called "The Magic School Bus" for nothing.
