On Valentine's Day, the class is selling light bulbs as a fundraiser. They decide to go to Ms. Frizzle's house to see if she wants to buy some, but her doorbell is not working. Tim and Wanda go to find her, and they overhear her reading a "love letter." The class now has to fix the doorbell before Ms. Frizzle's "big connection" comes over.
Is it just me, or does that look like Ms. Frizzle's fountain?
Even Dorothy Ann know the mailbox, considering it's shaped like The Magic School Bus. It is Ms. Frizzle's house!
What is Wanda gonna do? What is Wanda gonna do? It seemed as though she broke the doorbell!
Yep. Ms. Frizzle is home. She's reading something that looks like a love letter.
And Ms. Frizzle is on the phone to "Her Big Connection".
This must be why she's called Ms. "Frizzle". Her hair frizzes when rubbed with something rubbery.
Er, is it just me or did Wanda just hug Tim? She did it out of fear!
Wanda is explaining to the whole class what Ms. Frizzle said on the phone.
Ralphie's big nosed!
If Ms. Frizzle's home, then I guess there's no reason Liz can't be home.
As you can see, everything in Ms. Frizzle's house is powered by battery. Like this light globe shaped like a heart.
As you can see here, Ms. Frizzle is frizzing her hair. The heart-shaped rubber is minus, and the frizz on her hair is plus.
As Ms. Frizzle said, opposites do attract.
Here the class go. Flying into the globe.
Exactly watt is Ms. Frizzle doing? Yeah! Watt is she doing?
As Dorothy Ann said, electric currents move like a current in a source of water.
According to my research, this is the filament of the light globe.
This is creative. A hand to raise a battery powered garage.
The charges have stopped! Because the lights turned off.
And Wanda is fiddling with the light. She's stopping the class and continuing them.
Whoever Ms. Frizzle's secret admirer is, he might run off and never return!
Poor Wanda.
Poor Keesha, Carlos and Arnold.
Poor Dorothy Ann, Phoebe, Ralphie and Tim.
And poor Liz!
Liz thinks she's in a traffic jam! She's telling the ions to move!
Here's why the bell isn't working! It's broken! The wire is broken!
Wanda knows just how to fix it!
A magic gold angel! He's letting Wanda take a chocolate!
Is Wanda clever or what! She made the electricity in the bell flow again!

A Frizzle shaped door!
This is Ms. Frizzle's electrician. He's Mr. Ampier. She only called him to fix the doorbell, meaning she knew it was broken!
Now there are lots of lights around Ms. Frizzle's house!
A Valentine's gift for the Producer, and chocolates for Liz.
Arnold's a cupid!
And Wanda's a cupid!
Success for her!
Well, there's another Arnold/Wanda ship tease at the end. They're both cupids, and Wanda shot Arnold with her bow and arrow. I take this is another reason most people ship these 2.
And I'm not sure if this also counts as a ship tease. When Wanda and Tim see Ms. Frizzle talk on the phone, Wanda hugged Tim out of surprise! I take it this is another reason some people ship Tim and Wanda. To be fair, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm one of those several Tim/Wanda shippers.
Ms. Frizzle kept saying love-esque things like "Ring my bell". You know, for kids!
Who would've thought we'd get an episode centred around Ms. Frizzle's house?
Funny this episode took place on a Saturday, especially considering this episode debuted in 1997, yet Valentine's Day 1998 was a Saturday.
Interestingly, the book that was released the same year this episode premiered, The Magic School Bus and the Electric Field Trip, has a different story to this episode.
What was funny in this was Carlos making a Rugrats reference. The main characters of Rugrats pronounce Liberty "Lizardy", and Carlos called Ms. Frizzle's doorbell a "Lizardy Bell", punning Liberty Bell, an actual large bell with a crack in it, located in Philadelphia.
There's also a lesson about electricity. It is dangerous, and this is why you must never go near open wires while the electrons in them are flowing, but make sure to switch off the electricity before doing any of that. But flashlights are safe.
Very interesting episode indeed. It focused on Ms. Frizzle's house, Carlos' lizardy bell pun, Wanda doing her best to fix the doorbell, eventually succeeding in doing so, and Mr. Ampier came and saw the doorbell was fixed by the students. But it's really Wanda we should be thanking. It really teaches about electricity very well. And let's not forget Arnold and Wanda as cupids at the end.

Phoebe's Old School had more sense. Selling chocolate for Valentine's Day.
