Robotboy S1E05: The Donnienator & Halloween

Been a very long time since I made one of these. And since Halloween's coming, I thought it now time for me to get back to reviewing Robotboy.

9. The Donnienator.

Dr. Kamikazi turns Donnie into a robot of destruction to serve his evil plans! When Donnie decides to steal and destroy all of Tommy’s action figures, Robotboy intervenes and Donnie ends up in hospital. Donnie is attended to by a disguised Dr. Kamikazi and gets fitted with ultra strong casts that appear to give him super-strength. Using his new powers, Donnie takes to smashing up buildings, flipping cars and dishing out ultra-painful, wedgies to all the kids he can find! However, when he stumbles upon Tommy, his casts turn into a "Cast Bot", which assumes a mind of its own, hell-bent on destroying Robotboy.


Thomas sure has one wild imagination.

Looks like Donnie wants to destroy Thomas' toys despite them being smarter than him.

Harsh blow!

Little does Donald know the doctor is Kamikazi wanting to capture Laubotboy.

Who would have known Constantine's toes were prehensile?

This episode is good, but it's not without its fault. Gus getting wedgied disgusted me to an extent. All in all, it shows how prehensile Constantine's toes are and not to mention how funny he and Doctor Kamikazi were here! Tommy not wanting to hurt Donnie sure shows that even though Donnie's one of Thomas' enemies, but he'll always be his brother.

My rating: 8/10.

10. Halloween.

Aired: UK: 7 November 2005. US: 4 February 2006.

When Gus walks in to Tommy's room dressed as The guy with the mask on Halloween night, Robotboy get's scared and attacks him. When Tommy stops him, Gus is happy that his costume works and the he wasn't recognizable. Then he explains to Robotboy what Halloween is and invites him to join him, Tommy and Lola when they are going to trick or treating, beacuse everyone whill think that Robotboy is just a boy in a robot costume.
Meanwhile Dr. Kamikazi uses a spycam on a bat to see what they are talking about in Tommy's room. He want to use his new army of monsters to catch Robotboy when he is trick or treating. When his army of monsters come, he is blinded by his snake pet who spits snake poison in his eyes.
Meanwhile the gang is ready to go. Lola is dressed as a cowgirl, Gus is only wearing a mask and Tommy is dressed as the hunchback of Notre Dame. But Robotboy also wants a costume. So Tommy gives his costume to Robotboy and decides to make a new costume for himself. He makes a Robotboy costume and goes trick or treating dressed as Robotboy. While they are trick or treating they run into Kurt, Stu and Mookie. Kurt demands that they hand over their candy to him, but they refuse. Gus tries to flee with Robotboy, but is being chased by Kurt. Gus eats all of his candy so that Kurt can't steal it from him. This makes Kurt angry and he steals all of Gus his clothes (except the mask) and leaving Gus behind, completely nude. Then Lola comes in panic and tells them that in the meantime Tommy is being kidnapped by Dr. Kamikazi.
Dr. Kamikazi is pleased with himself that he finally captured Robotboy. Tommy and Constantine are trying to explain that he didn't but he doesn't believe them. Because his eyes are still blinded by his snake, he still doesn't see that good and really thinks that he captures Robotboy, because he can't see the difference between the real Robotboy and Tommy in his Robotboy costume. He wants Robotboy to get superactive and let him make do some assignments. First he wants to see Robotboy (Tommy) to demonstrate his superpowers by opening a big vault in a bank. But Tommy only hurts his feet when he tries to kick open the door. Then he wants to see if Robotboy can protect himself. So he puts Tommy in a hippo cage in the zoo and tries to wake up the hippo so that he will attack Tommy. But instead the hippo releases a big amount of gas into Kamikazi's face. When Tommy also fails to fly and rescue a kitten that Contantine thrown off a satellite tower, Kamikazi has enough of it. He threatens to bomb Tommy's house if Robotboy (Tommy) still refuses to corporate. Tommy is still explaining that he isn't Robotboy and that he can't tell how to superactive. So Kamikazi decides to cut him open with a band saw steal his motherboard.
Then Constantine tells Kamikazi that Lola, Gus and the real Robotboy have found them and are here to rescue Tommy. Kamikazi then realizes that the real Robotboy is standing in front of him and that he kidnapped Tommy. He orders his monsters to fight against Robotboy. Robotboy superactives and fights them and rescues Tommy before he get's burned by the dragon. Meanwhile Gus changes the location of the bomb to be sent and attack Kaziland instead Tommy's house. Kamikazi withdraws after Robotboy has taken down all of his monsters.
Robotboy, Tommy and Lola are returning to Tommy's room where Robotboy says that Halloween is exciting, whereupon Lola say's that this year was a little bit too exciting. When she wonders where Gus is, Tommy explains that he is late-minute trick or treating, scaring the people in town because he is still naked.


Looks like Gus really knows how to Trick or Tree!

Now a rhino sure has farted in Kamikazi's face!

Gus is in his birthday suit! 

Funny how Tommy was Igor at first, but now he's Robotboy! Hmm....another hint of TommyxLola, anyone?

This episode really was something! Since it's nearly Halloween, I though it'd be the right time to review this. One of the best of Season 1! Especially with that rhinoceros farting on Kamikazi, Goose being in the nude because, you know, for kids!  And Lola's cowgirl outfit reminds me of Ami's wild west outfit. There's also Kamikazi's eyes being destroyed by Mister Snakey's acid attack. Well, at least he didn't bite the evil doctor! Very fitting for Halloween!

My rating: 10/10.

Final thoughts:

This episode sure was interesting! Donnie becoming a monster because of Kamikazi, only for Kamikazi to try and steal Laubotboy! But it did show that Tommy still cares for Donnie since they're brothers. Also, a fitting Halloween episode, especially with that Tyranitar shadow.

Now, if there's anyone stupid I think of, who do I think of? The Soccermums! These hypocritical people will do anything to make our favourite things suffer! Whether it be TV shows, video games, snacks, music, you name it! Which is why I'm counting down the top 11 moments where soccermums were at their stupidest! Why Top 11? Because I am a rip off of the Nostalgia Critic! No. There are more than 10 moments I can think of, so this is a Top 11 list!

So, get ready to feel like you're Christopher Langan by comparison! Here are my Top 11 most moronic Soccermum moments!

11. The Silent Night Deadly Night controversy.

The reason this one is so low on the list is because it doesn't apply to me. Why? Because I'm not a fan of horror movies. But that doesn't mean it doesn't piss me off!

For those of you unaware of this controversy, in 1984, the slasher movie genre was at the height of its popularity, and a new one called Silent Night Deadly Night was about to get released. It's about a man who murders people while dressed up as Santa Claus. Here's where the Soccermums kick in! They boycotted every cinema that was showing this movie and tried to get it banned because they feared it was ruining Santa Claus for everyone and they feared that kids would run to them crying that they're scared of Santa Claus.

Wow, just shows that even stuff for adults aren't safe from these nutcases!

Alright, soccermums of the mid 1980s!

1. It's a horror movie! IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FRIGHTENING! It's just the shots that are scaring your kids!

2. Just because you don't like the movie doesn't mean no one else likes it! Think about other people's needs besides your own!

3. It's a movie for adults. IT'S NO WAY INTENDED FOR KIDS! Do you want your kids to see this movie? No? Then don't let them see it! It's easier than 1-2-7!

4. Get it through your thick skulls! It's not Santa Claus who kills people! It's a guy DRESSED UP as Santa Claus! All you need to do is tell your kids that Santa Claus doesn't kill people!

But I'll let this one slide because this movie gained a cult following due to all the complaints it got.

10. Reactions to The Princess and the Frog.

Yet again, another one that doesn't apply to me because I haven't watched this movie, yet it still pisses me off!

In 2009, The Princess and the Frog was released into cinemas, and according to reviews on this film, one person wanted to give this movie an R-rating! Why? Because of the use of voodoo!

Ugh! Okay, the way I heard it, the villain of this movie uses voodoo! Why? Because he's a witchdoctor!

Now, just because it uses voodoo doesn't mean it needs an R-rating! I mean, there weren't any people who complained about the scary scenes in Pinocchio, Dumbo, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King or The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but they choose to hark on this film!

This moment can slide too because when this movie was released to DVD, it got a G-rating.

9. Joe Camel getting banned.

Once again, another one that doesn't apply to me because I don't smoke.

Let's get onto this. In the 1980s, Camel Cigarettes decided to make their own mascot known as Joe Camel to help promote their cigarettes for those who like to smoke.

However, soccermums complained to Camel and ordered them to ban this mascot! Why? Because he was, quote unquote, encouraging kids to smoke cigarettes!

Oh, so what they're trying to tell us is, just because he's a mascot means he caters to kids!

Okay, Soccermums of the 90s, get 2 things right!

1. Just because Joe Camel is a mascot doesn't mean he caters to kids!

2. Joe Camel or no Joe Camel, some kids are smoking cigarettes anyway!

Gee! I just don't understand people!

But like I said, I don't smoke, but if I did, I'd have broken every single box of Camel Cigarettes I found.

8. Michaelangelo getting his nunchucks taken away in the 1987-1996 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon.

For those of you who don't know, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a franchise focused on 4 oversized turtles who fight bad guys using ninja weapons.

With how popular this show became, it eventually became a target for soccermums. They complained that Michaelangelo's nunchucks were too violent for a kids' show, so they were removed, getting replaced with a useless grappling hook.

Hold on! Let's look at the weapons these reptiles use!

Leonardo - 2 swords.

Donatello - Staff.

Raphael - 2 sais.

Michelangelo - 2 nunchucks.

So what they're trying to tell us is that

Swords - Safe.

Staffs - Safe.

Sais - Safe.

Nunchucks - Violent.

THIS IS FREAKING MORONIC!!!! I don't see the reason they had to complain! 90s soccermums, all you needed to do was tell your kids not to copy what they see!!!

But I'll let this one slide because in later adaptations of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Michelangelo got his nunchucks back! Ha!

7. Lord Zedd getting toned down on Power Rangers.

For those of you unaware, Power Rangers is a series of live action shows that use footage from Super Sentai, a Japanese sentai show. With how popular this show came, Saban decided to make up their own villain for the show, and Lord Zedd was born!

Eventually, soccermums complained that Lord Zedd was too evil for a kids' show, so Saban toned him down, eventually getting to the point of marrying Rita Repulsa.

Ugh! Soccermums of the 1990s, I'm not sure if you even realise, but LORD ZEDD IS A VILLAIN!!!! HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE EVIL, YOU DOOFUSES!!! I've never known him to kill anyone! What did you expect him to do? Bake a cake for the Rangers?

Also, I don't understand why they thought he was too evil! The worst he did was yell at his troops! What do you lunatics have against shows that teach kids that evil is bad? Huh? Huh?

6. Parents trying to get Cap'n Crunch banned.

About a decade ago, parents complained to Quaker Oats about Cap'n Crunch and they tried to get it banned. Why? Because it's the unhealthiest cereal on the market! How is it the unhealthiest? Because it lacks nutrition.

Alright, parents! 3 things!

1. It's Quaker Oats' job to make kids want that cereal! Think about it!

2. Just because you don't like the cereal doesn't mean no one else likes it! The Earth revolves around the sun, NOT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!! Sure, it's the unhealthiest cereal, but it's still a better breakfast for your kids than Cheetos!!!!

3. You're not supposed to try to ban what you don't want your kids to eat! You're supposed to be the parent and give your kids the big fat NO!

This one can slide because Quaker Oats didn't listen to these nutcases and came up with more brands for the cereal.

5. Trying to get Ronald McDonald banned.

A few years ago, parents complained to McDonald's and tried to get Ronald McDonald banned because they were worried that he may want to make their kids eat at McDonald's.

Ugh! Now we're getting to the really stupid stuff!

1. When I was a kid, I wouldn't go to McDonald's because of Ronald! I went to collect the toys they put in their Happy Meals! If Ronald was a toy in the Happy Meal, I would understand.

2. Why do you want to ban Ronald McDonald? He's a go-lucky clown who wants to spread smiles to every kid he meets!

3. If Ronald does make your kids want to eat at McDonald, big deal! That doesn't mean you have to take them there and get them food!!!! Duh! All you have to do is tell them the big fat NO!

Luckily, McDonald's didn't listen to these nutcases and Ronald is still spreading smiles wherever he goes.

4. The Game Corner getting removed from the Pokémon games.

There is a reason parents banned the Game Corner games from the Pokémon games. Because they were worried that it may encourage their kids to gamble.

Ugh! You moronic people! If these games supposedly make your kids want to gamble, big deal! That doesn't mean you have to take them to a casino or some other gambling place!

I just don't understand people!

3. Parents complaining about a gay couple in The Loud House.

For those of you who don't know what The Loud House is, The Loud House is Nickelodeon's newest cartoon about a boy named Lincoln who lives in a house with his many sisters. Funny thing is, all their names start with L and their surname is Loud.


Due to how popular this show got since its premiere a few months ago, it just became a target for soccermums. They're complaining about a gay couple.


*facepalm* You people!

Oh, so they're complaining about this show having a gay couple, yet they never complain about Jeff from Clarence having 2 mums?! Not like I want them to complain, but I'm calling out their hypocrisy! Just because it's a gay couple doesn't mean you have to get Nick to cancel this show! I just don't understand you people!

2. P.T. Boomer getting cut from Thomas and the Magic Railroad.

No! I'll never get over this! For those of you who don't know, Thomas and the Magic Railroad is a movie that crosses Thomas the Tank Engine with Shining Time Station. During the test screenings of this movie's original cut, parents and kids reacted to P.T. Boomer being to scary for kids. so Britt cut him out of the film in the final cut.


Parents, I'm not sure if any of you realise, but P.T. BOOMER IS A FREAKING VILLAIN!!!! HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE SCARY, YOU NO-BRAINS!!!!! Gee! I've never heard about him to be a murderer! The worst he planned to do was destroy Lady, not kill any people in general! Thanks to you, this movie failed in the box office!

Rest in Peace Doug Lennox, the one who played P.T.

1. The Derpy Hooves Controversy.

I'm not a brony, but when these nutcases attack a cartoon whether I like it or not, I see it as an act of war! For those of you who don't know, Derpy is a character from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic who was placed as a Where's Wally?-like cameo for fans. She's cross-eyed and crazy. However, she soon became a target for soccermums. They complained that her crossed eyes were offending mentally challenged people, so they ordered the animators to change her voice, change her name to "Ditzy" and to straighten her eyes.


*facepalm* AH! Nosebleed!


Why do you choose to hark on certain harmless cartoons? DERPY IS NOT OFFENSIVE!!!

They even complained that she contradicted friendship. How?!?


Alright, this is the one thing that REALLY pisses me off about this! Of all the things you soccermums choose to complain about, THIS is the harmless show you choose to hark on?!? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

You couldn't complain about Patrick Star? I think Patrick is more offensive to mentally challenged people than Derpy! You couldn't complain about The Problem Solverz causing seizures? You couldn't complain about Fred 3 teaching kids it's OK to blow up other people's properties with a bunch of fireworks AND GET OFF SCOT-FREE?!?!? I.......don't.....understand.....how.....you....people....THINK!!!!!!


Well there you have it. The moments where I felt that Soccermums were at their worst. Feel free to tell me your thoughts on my choices.

Robotboy S1E04: Metal Monster & Time Transmission

Alright, everyone! I'm back with another review on Robotboy!

7. Metal Monster.

Aired: UK: 4 November 2005. US: 28 January 2006.

In this episode, when a news reporter called Vance Cosgrove finds out about Robotboy he tries to find more about him from other people so that he can become promoted only that a secret government steals Robotboy into their laboratory and the gang must save him.

Here we are, the first episode to star Vance Cosgrove.

Yeah, Robotboy's some dumb kid's toy.

Robotboy sure grabbed a lot of glass!

Wow! Kamikazi's a rude ice cream man!

No Robotboys!

Very deceitful monster!

Now Kamikazi and Constantine are in trouble!

Now Vance has lost his film!

I must say, this episode with Vance was very interesting! Those monsters sure were interesting, parodying and deceitful! It sure was funny of Kamikazi and Constantine to get locked up! And how did Vance know that Kamikazi was in the I scream van? But still, very hilarious ep!



My rating: 9/10.

8. Time Transmission.

Aired: UK: 4 November 2005. US: 28 January 2006.

Robotboy receives a message from the future warning that he will over-run the world one day. The only way to protect the world is to hand him over to Dr. Kamikazi.

Robotboy's in water!

Oh boy! Donnie's a monster!

Oh, Kamikazi! You and your getting bit on the hand pet!

That future was a trick?!

A monster that is an alien, later sounds like Hiro, and reveals himself to be Moshimo!

Ow! Damaged Robotboy!

Now Kamikazi's hand is really hurt!

This sure was a hilariously trick-filled episode! An actor tricking Tommy about Robotboy destroying the world! Pure genius! Doctor Kamikazi sure knows what tricks he's doing, and it further shows that he is dying to capture Robotboy if it's the last thing he does! That's the line I always make him say, especially in the 10th anniversary fan fiction I wrote last year.

So, this episode sure was clever, that's all I have to say!

My rating: 10/10.

Final thoughts:

2 brilliant full episodes in a row! We got a lot of tricks up Kamikazi's sleeve! Kamikazi wanted Robotboy to be exposed to the world, later, he tricks Thomas into thinking an actor he hired was from the future! Very clever indeed!

Robotboy S1E03: Teasebots & Constantine Rising

Alright, Brobotboys! Now that I'm done with reviewing the first 2 episodes of Robotboy, let's get on to the 3rd episode!



5. Teasebots.

Written by: Michael Rubiner.

Aired: UK: 3 November 2005. US: 21 January 2006.

Dr. Kamikazi creates an army of Teasebots to take advantage of Robotboy's temper. Robotboy destroys so many Teasebots that his batteries run dry and he is easily stolen by Kamikazi.

We've come to the first appearance of Kurt, Stu and Booker, the school bullies.

Kamikazi has a cute little gerbil, Salvatore.

How exactly did Kamikazi know where to send those teasebots?

Now we have a running gag when it comes to Kamikazi and his children or pets. They bite him on the finger when he offers them food!

Now Salvatore is giant and mad!

Oh boy! Kamikazi is in the Lava-Tory!

This episode really was hilarious! Those teasebots were hilarious, the insults were hilarious! Funny how Kamikazi was in a taxi to get Robotboy, and later got kicked out for not paying for the ride! The way Kamikazi knows where to find Robotboy is why, in my fan fictions, I often make him make the excuse "I'm psychic." Still, a funny episode!

My rating: 10/10.

6. Constantine Rising.

Written by: Scott Peterson.

Aired: UK: 3 November 2005. US: 21 January 2006.

With Dr. Kamikazi in bed with a fever, Constantine decides to try a plot of his own. He kidnaps Lola and lures Tommy and Robotboy to Dr. Kamikazi's lair. Now, Gus is their last hope of rescue.

It's pretty weird here, how Doctor Kamikazi is cold inside a volcano, which is always hot while dormant and/or active. But then again, aren't all cartoons weird somehow?

Cool communication rings!

Now Tommy is locked up!

That sure was a nasty yell Kamikazi gave Constantine!

Now Gus is going with this Scottish janitor back to the Bay Area.

Well what can I say? This sure was a very good episode. Showing Constantine plotting his own evil, the first time Gus gets called "Goose". Professor Moshimo and Thomas Turnbull called Gus "Goose". I think they called him that for one of 4 reasons I can think of.

1. Professor Moshimo doesn't know how to pronounce Gus' name right.

2. Tommy accidentally called Gus "Goose". (Blame Moshimo for that!)

3. Gus is an idiot. ("Goose" is another word for "foolish person")

4. A reference to the Disney character, Gus Goose.

The one thing that actually does kind of frustrate me about this one is that whenever Constantine, Gus, anyone for that matter, calls Lola "Tommy's girlfriend", he gets irritated and tells them "She's not my girlfriend!" Could that have inspired Chowdah screaming to Panini "I'M NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND!!!"? Why does this kind of frustrate me? Lola is Tommy's girlfriend!

But still, this was a fine episode. Also, it shows that sometimes, you do need help from others even if you don't think you need it.

My rating: 9/10.

Final thoughts:



This sure was some episode, wasn't it? We got to see some teasy robots that were enough for Robotboy's batteries to run dry, and we got to see Constantine plot his own evil, even if he did annoy Thomas by saying that Lola is his girlfriend. The reason Tommy shouldn't have been frustrated? Because what Constantine and Gus say is true! Still, a wondrous episode!
