HHPAY S3E11: Evil AmiYumi, Butterscotch & Big Waldo

Alright, it's time once again for me to review Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, another unaired episode!



109. Evil AmiYumi.

Written by: Guy Toubes.

A lightning storm causes Yumi to switch places with her evil counterpart. Then, Ami and Kaz's evil forms come to life, and chaos ensues.

Now there are 2 Yumis!

Now there's an evil Ami!

Now who put shampoo on Ami's toothbrush?

Kaz stuck on the roof of the bus!

Now the good Yumi is acting evil!

Cut up Yumi's brains!

Which one's the real Yumi?



This episode sure was something! Yumi being transported to a dimension where everyone hates PUFFY, and her evil counterpart replaces her in the good world! Awesome episode end it was funny of evil Yumi knowing Ami's favourite colour is pink, yet in the series premiere, Harmony said it's rainbow.

My rating: 9/10.

110. Butterscotch.

Written by: Jack Siegel.

Kaz accidentally knocks out a horse named Butterscotch, and Ami and Yumi dress up as the horse to help Kaz out at a rodeo.

Kaz sure likes having the band booed at!

Slim Chance loves Puffy.

Ami kissing Butterscotch!

Kaz is a monster!

The bull is after Butterscotch!

Now Butterscotch is walking on her hind legs!

Butterscotch has a talking rear?

This sure was a good episode! The girls meet a cowboy who is one of their biggest fans, and even his horse, Butterscotch. It was very clever of the girls to dress themselves as Butterscotch in order to make Slim the rodeo champion ever!

My rating: 9.5/10.

111. Big Waldo.

An alligator named Waldo appears and startles Ami and Yumi. The girls then try to get rid of him.

Kaz sure wants to live on a swamp!

Big Waldo did eat half of a truck.

Waldo even ate a tank.

Hmm...Looney Tunes cartoons, anyone?

Aw, Big Waldo and Bigger Frieda in love!

Kaz really has that sinking feeling!

What a hilarious episode! Ami and Yumi trying to get rid of Big Waldo and with a lot of success and failure in the end! Silly girls, not realising Kaz's house was on those pillars!

My rating: 10/10.

Final thoughts:

This episode sure was epic! We got evil counterparts of Ami and Yumi, the girls dress up as a horse that Kaz beat up, and we got to see the girls get rid of Big Waldo with Bigger Frieda! Clever episode!

Alright, time to get another Puffy episode review out of the way.

106. Small Stuff.

Ami and Yumi give their cats a bath, but they fall in the dryer and shrink. The girls must find a way to return to normal size.

These girls forgot that Jang Keng and Tekirai hate water!

Ami has a rainforest on the bus?

These cats are hungry for Ami now!

Jang Keng is frozen!

Jang Keng the Accordian!

Kaz roars like Godzilla!

 Now the girls are eaten!

Now Ami and Yumi are back to normal!



 

Now Kaz is too small!

Such a hilarious episode! Definitely reminiscent of those old Tom and Jerry cartoons! The girls shrinking, and eventually turn into a cat and mouse game! Very clever Domo, making the cats spit out the girls!

My rating: 10/10.

107. B.C. Road Trip.

Kaz tries to find a way to carry Ami and Yumi's instruments to their next gig without the need of a tour bus.

Looks like Ooga AmiYumi is back!

Ooga blueprints.

Ooga booga! An interesting sequel to Puffy BC, only this time, Ooga Kaz is trying to make something so that the girls can go from gig to gig. Silly Ooga Kaz! Not putting wheels on the ooga bus!

My rating: 8.5/10.

108. Puffynauts.

Ami, Yumi, and Kaz get lost in space as they head to their next gig.

Yeah, they have a chimpanzee as a space pilot.

Oh boy, now Purple Saturn's rings are ruined!

That rancid meat looks awful!

Beautiful Woman Nebula!

Awesome cameo of Darth Vader!

All that predalien wanted was an autograph!

Awesome moon play!

Now Darth Vader is doomed!

This sure was one 'eck of a space adventure! We got a cameo of Darth Vader, and we even got Kaz making a Beautiful Woman Nebula into an ugly nebula! Hilarious jokes and great cameos and parodies!

My rating: 10/10.

Final thoughts:

Hey! You American Puffy fans! Does anyone of you remember the last time this aired on Cartoon Network USA? No? Then don't feel bad about it! Because it never aired on Cartoon Network!

Also, this episode was fantastic! The girls shrink for a game of cat and mouse, Ooga Kaz builds a tour bus for the girls' tours, and Puffy goes into space and meet Darth Vader! Awesome episode as usual!

HHPAY S3E09: Tooth Decay, Gridiron Maidens & Sound Off

Alright, it's time for me to get into the unaired Puffy episodes!

103. Tooth Decay.

Written by: Joseph Torres.

Ami and Yumi look for loose teeth when the tooth fairy is unable to do so, and they must do it before the sun rises.

Yumi injured the tooth fairy?

Yumi tries to steal a tooth from a girl!

Yeah, it is copyright infringement!

Hey! Where's that elephant's tusk?

Kaz has it!

Okay, this sure is strange. Yumi injuring the tooth fairy, and the Easter bunny willing to keep his tooth. Very strange episode indeed, but it was funny when the girls copyrighted Santa Claus.

My rating: 7/10.

104. Gridiron Maidens.

Written by: Shannon Denton and Keith Giffen.

Kaz makes Ami join his football team after she throws it into a tree.

Ami and Yumi are just enjoying the nature.

Wow! That man has holes in his hands!

No Yumis!

Yumi's a cheerleader!

Ami is badly injured, as is Yumi!

Now the girls are drowning Kaz!

This sure was a funny episode! Ami becomes a football player, and Yumi becomes a cheerleader. It's a good thing Ami won the football game, all thanks to her football skills!

 

My rating: 9/10.

105. Sound Off.

Written by: Adam Beechen.

Ami, Yumi, and Kaz have a strange experience when the soundtrack is completely wrong. So the girls must go and fix it.

Now the characters' voices are screwed up! Ami has the voice of Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Yumi has the voice of Mister Sanban from Codename Kids Next Door, and Kaz makes Animal noises!

Here's why the episode is messed up! The animators are sleeping! Lazy Renegade!

Look at the sets!

The colour department!

Here are the unused characters.

Now they're chasing the girls and Kaz.

 Hey! Just kick the sound recorder and everything's back to normal!

So Domo now has Kani's voice. Well, almost everything. 

This sure was an interesting episode! The girls have to try and fix up their show, all because the animators were sleeping, and finally, in the end, they find out it's a record being messed up. A very interesting episode overall!

My rating: 10/10.

Final thoughts:

Yes, the first of 5 episodes never to have aired in the states. A very grand episode if you ask me. The girls being tooth fairies, Ami being a gridiron maiden, and the show getting screwed up! Very interesting episode overall!
