Robotboy S1E06: Don't Fight It & Kurt's Father

Time to get onto the 6th episode of Robotboy.

11. Don't Fight It

Written by: Scott Peterson.

Aired: UK: 8 November 2005. US: 11 February 2006.

When Robotboy has his Agro meter high, he attacks everything- even a falling leaf- and he fights everything. After a few tests of Gus getting hurt, Tommy eventually sets his Agro meter to low, making him unable to fight when Kamikazi shows up, Robotboy can't fight. When Kamikazi captures him, he tries to make him fight, by throwing Tommy off of the edge of a cliff which makes him Superactivate. Kamikazi's plan backfires and then Robotboy defeats all of Kamikazi's forces.


Hmm....Robotboy likes to take arcade games too seriously.

Thomas is banned from the arcade.......for at least a week!

Gus! Stop hitting yourself!

A motherboard chip?

Goose is out of the battle! The winner is Donnie Turnbull!

Robotboy save Thomas.

A messed up capacitator?

OK, this episode isn't one without faults. We don't know this until later, but why would Moshimo give Robotboy a capacitator chip to make him fight just about anything? Although I like the Simpsons references here. Donnie making Goose hit himself, possibly a reference to Nelson Muntz making his victims "Stop hitting themselves", and the arcade owner bans Thomas from the arcade "For at least a week!" like the time Lisa and Homer were banned from the museum of history about Jebediah Springfield "for 3 months". All in all, this was a somewhat weak one.

12. Kurt's Father.

Written by: Andrew Rheingold.

Aired: UK: 8 November 2005. US: 11 February 2006.

Kurt's Father shows up during career day and discovers Robotboy. He then sends his son to befriend Tommy so he can get Robotboy for him.

Clever trick! Gum on the water fountain!

What?! Kurt help Thomas?!

Now Thomas is talking sense into Goose!

Hmm....yellow lemonade? In cartoons like this, it's yellow, but in real life, it's clear.

Now Kurt's backfired!

Gus fantasising about Thomas?

Clever switcheroo!

Cross-dressing.

Headless Robotboys!

Now Goose is pea pants!

Now here's a brilliant one! Especially with Kurt's father's clever trick to make Kurt trick Thomas into being his friend! And those headless Robotboys were something! Good to see Thomas talk sense into Gus! Though Kurt was indeed using him to get his dad to give him Robotboy. Who would've known this episode was written by someone who was a mainstream writer of the last 2 seasons of Codename Kids Next Door?

My rating: 9.5/10.

Final thoughts:

Well, this episode isn't without its faults. I mean, Robotboy willing to fight anything even inanimate objects. Though I did like the Simpsons references. And there was Kurt's dad being introduced as well as Goose being Pea pants! Hmm....I wonder where Kurt's mum is?
